Software Engineering Project

Week 1:

Abstraction:

    

     As we know, most of the activities in the world have become machine-based or we can say most of the tasks are done by computers and softwares.

     Therefore, the Wise Group decided to make a software for a Pharmacy to do some calculations which are needed in a generic drugstore and we are honored to have picked such an idea and make it easy for accountants.

Project Definition: 

Three partners in a Pharmacy need a software to keep track of daily and monthly accounts. 

The target of Wise Group is to launch a software project to perform some calculations on the accounts of the drugstore.

The main calculations are to be performed on sales, purchases and withdrawal of each partner.

     In order to have a better achievement and reach the goal in a timely manner, this group decided to divide the project in sub-projects and modules so that the members of the group can share the project in a more skillful manner and have  group work done in a satisfactory time frame.

Main Functions:

In general, the main functions are as follows:

1. All the sales are entered into the database.
2. Entering the bills of all purchases into the database.
3. Entering the withdrawal amount of each partner whenever they withdraw.
4. The data are saved and kept secure in a well coded database by authentication.
5. Doing calculations on sales, purchases, withdrawals and  keeping track of each of them.
6. Entry easily searched by date or amount of money.
7. Deleting, editing and/or adding is done by authenticated person by prompting password.

 Initial design idea:

1. In our first meeting in 27 May 2012 with the user we reached an idea that this software should have the ability to be logged in by prompting password.
2. When user enters the application, he/she has the ability to add , edit , enter  ,view, delete and search any data.
3. The data should be entered, processed and kept in an easily accessible database.
4. Having searching capability through data or amount of money.
